Prayers are requested for the following:

Rod’s younger brother Tom, Latest news: When Rod visited Tom he says that Tom today was really looking quite well, (although quite slimmer than usual)  his radiation burns have healed up very well, his speech is much better, but most importantly his radiant and jovial attitude is shining through, he seemed so happy and alive it was great to see! of course he has some off days where he doesn’t feel too good, and he still can’t eat solids fully yet, but I do believe he is on the right road to recovery!

Rod’s son Steven who has to undergo another heart operation, at the end of the month. Latest news: Unfortunately Steven is still waiting for a date to take him into hospital, which is causing him a lot of anxiety, as he just wants it over and done with, but as the doctors have said they don’t want to do the op and risk him catching COVID whilst they can still control his condition with medication.

Elanea Maoudis a lady we’ve had on the vicarage home group prayer list is currently in hospital with a broken femur. Rod would be most grateful if we could remember her and her family.

For Ann Westerman’s brother Bob, who has liver cancer. Between 8-15 August he is to be evaluated for a new treatment in Houston Texas.

The spoken word is powerful, and spoken words of encouragement can

bring great comfort. The idea is not to speak many words, but to speak

the right words. Consider this:

The Gettysburg Address contains 272 words.

The Ten Commandments contains 139 words.

The Declaration of Independence contains 1323 words.
